Quake Level - Court DespairCourt Despair was a large map supporting both Deathmatch and single-player modes, at multiple levels of difficulty. It was the first level I created to not only be reviewed by, but win some awards from review sites.
In single-player mode, the player started out in a courtyard with a locked gate and three doors, leading to three different areas of a large castle The player had to progress through the entire castle to eventually unlock and "exit" the main gate, thereby winning the level. It used a mix of textures I created myself both from scratch and from images culled off of the internet (stones1.wad, stones2.wad and artworks.wad), and standard Quake textures.
