College Assignment - Christmas SceneThis scene was created during my third semester at Seneca College, for an assignment in 3D Modelling where we had to make a complex scene and not just a single model. It was created using 3DS Max, and uses several bump maps and height fields created in Photoshop to add the carved detailing on the mantlepiece and the raised pattern on the walls, as well as the wreath of holly. The majority of the scene is modelled out of simple spheres, boxes, cylinders, cones, and other primitive shapes. ![]() A test render when the scene was nearing completion. Unfortunately I only have a small-sized version of the final image, which included some mice (modelled using a metaballs plugin) eating the cookies that have been left out for Santa. ![]() |
