1950s Blender – Multiplier Texture, TS3
Description:
The Sims 3 uses a radically different texturing system then The Sims 2. This is the multiplier texture that will be drawn over top of tiling patterns to create the in-game final texture of the object. The system also makes use of a mask texture (to indicate where as many as 4 different tiling patterns are to be applied to the mesh), a specular layer for shine and reflectivity, an overlay that applies to all recolours of the object, and up to four stencils that can be combined for different effects on different recolours. In this case, the blender does make use of the overlay layer to texture the food within the blender (not shown), but does not make use of the stencils. The glass portion of the jar uses an existing in-game shader.
